Ever-outrageous, multitalented Sandra Bernhard at the Rrazz Room this month
By Bruce Bellingham

Sandra BernhardShe calls her shtick “rock and roll comedy,” but Sandra Bernhard is compelled to rock the boat under any circumstances. She brings her new show, Whatever It Takes, sort of a summation of her professional life, to the Rrazz Room for two weeks this month, Oct. 13–25. Almost no one is immune from her onstage eviscerations. But, of course, she’s extremely funny and gifted with a terrific singing voice. Bernhard does not require a supporting cast. Her 1998 one-woman show, I’m Still Here ... Damn It, was a Broadway hit, and later an HBO special. She’s appeared in lots of films, played numerous parts on TV shows, and remains popular with the late-night crowd who watch David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and others.
