Ryan ScottThe “Dinner Party of a Lifetime,” featuring past competitors from Bravo TV’s popular Top Chef series, was one of the top-grossing auction lots from the annual Paint the Town Red Gala at City Hall last February. Benefiting the Red Cross, the event raised over $330,000 for local disaster readiness and relief efforts.

The winning bidders, Jessica and Jason Moment, bid $8,500 for the “Dinner Party of a Lifetime.” The Moments hosted the dinner for nine at their Pacific Heights home on Saturday, May 30. Chef Ryan Scott led a team of the top chefs, which included fellow San Francisco chefs Jennifer Biesty and Erik Hopfinger, as well as Mark Simmons, Casey Thompson, Manuel Trevino, and season four winner Stephanie Izard.

The menu featured crab and tuna ceviche with wonton and avocado (Hopfinger), chilled carrot soup with cumin-scented capers and golden raisins (Thompson), almond-crusted soft-shell crab with spring peas and green garlic (Trevino), goat cheese Pansoti with house-made pancetta and fava beans (Biesty), miso-glazed bone marrow with citrus marmalade and brioche (Simmons), roasted rack of lamb with strawberries, Vidalia onions and fingerling potatoes (Izard), and chocolate and tahini praline cremeaux with sesame seed brittle and Greek yogurt (Scott).

Pellegrini Family Vineyards, four generations of winemakers from the Northside’s Marina district, poured wines to match each course.
