The San Francisco Women Artists Gallery, always teeming with activity, is about to launch its juried show for April. There are some 35 artists featured, working with oils, acrylics, pastels, sculpture, digital, and jewelry.

This month, the featured artist is Rita Sklar, a well-known figure in the local art scene, who keeps a studio in Oakland.

“There are at least 100 artists involved with the gallery at any given time,” says painter Jennie Wasser.

As of this writing, about 35 artists are yet to be selected for the April show. Last month, the gallery featured pastel artist Jennie Lo and digital artist Jessica Levant.
