Marc Chagall’s Le Cheval Rouge (The Red Horse) is one of the lithographs available at the new location of Pasquale Iannetti Gallery (565 Sutter St.). It is signed by the artist in pencil, “Marc Chagall” in the lower right and numbered “269/300” in the lower left. The 1945 painting upon which this lithograph is based is also called La luge dans la neige (The sleigh in the snow). Curator Margaret Aiken says new acquisitions at the gallery include graphic works by European, American, and Latin American old and modern masters such as Dürer, Rembrandt, Goya, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Chagall, de Chirico, Rouault, Kandinsky, Magritte, Severini, Miró, Bearden, Homer, Whistler, Tamayo, Zuniga, and others.
