If you are 55 plus and would like to start the new year by giving back, RSVP can help you find a way to serve by matching your interests with current needs throughout the community.
Recognizing that individuals in this age group have a wealth of skills and experience to share, RSVP partners with over 80 Bay Area organizations that need assistance to offer hundreds of diverse volunteer opportunities. You can mentor others starting businesses, distribute food to low-income residents, serve as a museum docent, or even address issues on global warming and the environment. RSVP staff work with you, your interests and your schedule to find the perfect match for either a one-time event, or an ongoing assignment.
In addition to providing volunteer opportunities, RSVP sponsors many social events for volunteer members including visits to area theater productions, lectures, and a speaker series. Past topics have included starting a new business, travel and education opportunities, financial fraud, and local issues affecting San Francisco.
Here are just a few opportunities currently available through RSVP:
If you’re over 55, have the time and energy and want to make a difference, put your experience to work by helping those in need and call RSVP’s San Francisco outreach coordinator at 415-731-3335 or visit www.rsvpsf.org. |
