Dear Editor:
Thank you for the wonderful “Publisher’s Note” about former Marina Times and Northside San Francisco publisher David Ish in the November issue. It was a touching and very personal look into what sounded like a tumultuous, yet mutually respectful relationship. The legacy he leaves behind is two excellent newspapers that get better all the time, something I am sure he would have been proud of.

Dear Editor:
I was shocked to read about the death of David Ish in last month’s “Publisher’s Note.” He was truly a pioneer in the neighborhood newspaper scene here in San Francisco. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Editor:
I was incredibly saddened to read about the passing of David Ish. I enjoyed the insightful piece about him, which was less of an obituary and more of a story in honor of him. It was nice to read about someone who wasn’t perfect, even in death, and about the passing of a torch from one generation to the next. Keep up the good work with the papers.
