![]() Bobo’s, 1450 Lombard St. (at Van Ness), 415-441-8880, www.boboquivaris.com They should change the sign out front from Bobo’s “The Steak” to Bobo’s “The Swan.” Despite the fact that they serve the best steaks in San Francisco, they just wouldn’t be as good if you didn’t start off with one of Swan’s signature cocktail creations. My first introduction to Swan was through the Basil, a Ketel One martini with fresh basil and lime. If you want something a little more exotic, try the Cucacabra, a fresh muddled cucumber margarita made with Patron silver. But, when I am looking for a drink to have with my steak, I call for a fresh blackberry and blood orange Old Fashioned. Swan’s cocktail creativity comes from the other side of her life – she is a singer/songwriter/artist by day and aspires to a career in music or the arts. Her charming personality has often made me think of canceling my table and eating at the bar. |
